My Banana & Strawberry Homemade Smoothie - 1 step closer to healthy skin and body!

I hope you are all having a good week so far! I'm having one of those off weeks unfortunately but hopefully it will pick itself up as the week goes on :)

Anyways, today's post is something a little different to the usual cosmetic/beauty reviews. As we all know having a healthy diet is key to having beautiful clear skin. It's not just what we put on our skin, but what we put into our bodies and so i thought why not do a post on my latest smoothie experiment and share it with all you beautiful ladies :) I've been on a big health kick since beginning of June, trying to get in shape for my holiday and  2 weeks of baring my bod in a bikini for all to see - eek! So i decided that as i had so much milk to use up, and bananas that i'd make a smoothie for two. Here is how i did it:

1.Slice 2 bananas and put into a blender or smoothie maker

 2. Next add 3/4 of a punnet of  sliced strawberries. Make sure you wash them beforehand.

3. Now whizz the fruit together for around half a minute until the fruit turns to a pulp

4. Now add around half a pint of semi skimmed milk or skimmed if you want to keep it extra healthy and give it one more whizz in the blender. I added the whip attachment to my blender to give it a smoother texture.

Voila! There you have it, a Strawberry and Banana Homemade Smoothie. This is the most basic recipe, you can also add other fruits or instead of milk, you can try juice or natural yoghurt, depending how thick you would like it :)
